I just finished my second year at college and I am looking for a job. My computer is so outdated it's not even funny anymore. It turned 8 this year. 8! Sure I've been upgrading it with my friends help, but it's the family computer and I need one of my own. Sadly finding a job is hard when you have no experience and you're in the middle of a recession -_-

I've been busy helping out a fansub group subtitle Kaiketsu Zorori, which would explain all the fanart I do of him. We're almost done with the first season and going on to the next one.

It's getting hotter already. Darn global warming. We're reaching record highs and it sucks. The only place hotter in the country than us is Phoenix.

Let's see what else I did:

1. Took a year of Japanese and I now recognize 125 different kanji (and yet so many more to learn next year -_-)
2. Took French in the middle of that (Yes, I'm crazy, but some guy was taking 4 at once)
3. Voluntarily switched to the metric system (it's going to happen sooner or later so I might as well do it on my own terms)
4. Got my drivers license (yes, I got it at 21 :P I don't go out much so I had no reason to get it sooner. Plus I didn't have to deal with the restriction crap they put on teenage drivers)

Hm, so many topics to talk about but I'll save that for later.

A tout a l'heure!

I'm taking Japanese

I feel like such a weaboo. XD

Has anyone else taken a japanese class before? I was lucky enough to get a class taught by an actual Japanese person :) It's easy so far since we're going over basics and I already know basic Japanese from self-study and endless anime watching.

Anyway, I also went to Mexico over the summer. It was great and bad and everything in between. We went to a small town called Presidios in the Mexican state of Durango.

Well, that's all for now.

またね!

So I stopped visiting Deviantart for a while and now I have like 500 deviations to look thru + 200 messages.

Lots of changes to DA too. Leave for a while and they change everything -_-

Now to spend the next couple of days catching up...

The $1500 iPhone

Do you want to buy an iPhone but don't want to switch to AT&T? You could import an unlocked one!

That's right! By French Law, the iPhone has to be unlocked, so Orange(a French phone company) has to sell an unlocked version along with the locked one. The iPhone comes to France on November 29, the locked version costing 399 euros and the unlocked 999 euros. That's about 1,480 dollars.

Germany has unlocked iPhones too, but for how long is uncertain. T-Mobile(the company that one the contract) is in the middle of a lawsuit with it's rival, Vodafone. Vodafone claims that T-Mobile violated German competition laws by selling a locked phone under a 2 year contract. Due to an injunction, T-Mobile has been forced to sell unlocked iPhones, but if T-Mobile wins the lawsuit, it will re-lock all its iPhones.

It is uncertain if these iPhones will work on American soil, and if they do, will apple try to stop importation of these iPhones by request of AT&T or because apple doesn't want America to have unlocked iPhones? Only time will tell...
